The NIPED Institute consists NIPED Research Foundation and Foundation NIPED data management for research and development activities and NIPED Prevention BV for implementation of the e-health platform and its applications.
NIPED E-health platform
The NIPED institute was founded by medical doctor and cancer researcher Coenraad van Kalken and cardiologist Roderick Kraaijenhagen. The NIPED Institute consists NIPED Research Foundation and Foundation NIPED data management for research and development activities and NIPED Prevention BV for implementation of the e-health platform and its applications.
NIPED looks for the development and implementation of e-health emphatically the power of close cooperation between scientific research and commercial mass-individual application. Self NIPED also has a dual structure with both a knowledge institute (Stichting NIPED Research and Foundation NIPED Data Management) for scientific research (Directive) development policy and the other a commercial entity (NIPED Prevention BV), which successfully validated large-scale applications be made available. This combination creates a "flywheel effect" that new developments are implemented effectively wide. This is a continuous stream of data is generated for scientific research and dynamic development process. The NIPED approach has visible and size standard social impact.
Except in the context of personal prevention in people without symptoms the E-Health platform can also be used by people with a defined risk or a chronic condition such as diabetes, COPD, heart failure and cancer.
